Baxter Park

This brief (MK Design on behalf of Dundee City Council) was for a tactile way-finding map in bronze. It was to be sited near an entrance to newly renovated Baxter Park in Dundee. The map was to guide both visually impaired and sighted visitors around the topography, pathways and key locations of the park.

Alongside the bronze topographic section of the map is a large print and Braille key, also cast in bronze. This is the first UK example of Braille which has been cast in bronze to have performed consistently well in tests carried out by the RNIB.
